Introducing the Ultimate All-Weather Coat 2

The makers of the world’s best all weather coat have come back with a new and better design. We’ve learned from feedback and improved the design all around. Our designers and wool suppliers worked to source a new wool that is softer and more easily bonded to drastically reduce stiffness. With our new wool, we’ve designed a more fashionable coat that drapes better than ever. Multi season coats that will deliver on time for the holiday season.

Sweet Clothing is a small company that designs and produces the brand names Mia Melon and One Man Outerwear. We are starting to emerge and become a modern day outerwear company thanks to the help of Kickstarter, our backers and retailers. Our niche is multi-use weatherproof fashion outerwear. We are in a very capital intensive industry with a niche group of products that serves our customers very well. To keep the costs down for affordability reasons, we need to make hundreds at at time. We hope that one day, one of these campaigns will not only support the project we are trying to finance, but maybe help finance the company so it can function more smoothly. This will help us emerge. What Makes These WOOL Coats So Special?  

Traditional wool coats can be heavy, scratchy and expensive. We have designed a modern wool coat. Our coats are lighter and warmer compared to the average wool coat. They are also windproof and waterproof, with a cozy, warm micro fleece lining inside. We have a world class fashion designer insuring we are providing fashion forward, timeless designs so you can wear your favorite coat for many years to come. We also use high quality factories that provide good quality. And to top things off, we have made our coats affordable.

We have a 100% customer satisfaction and roughly 1 in 200 backers/customers return their coats. We are proud of our product!

Outer Wool Fabric – 

It starts with the fabric we design. We design all our own fabrics from scratch. Three of the styles are using a wool blend outer shell with at least a 35% wool content. Weight is 300gms.

Inner Micro-fleece – 

Three styles have inside is a cozy and comfortable micro-fleece interior. It doesn’t scratch and is very warm and comfortable. Weight is 160gms.

Special Thermal Membrane –

Bonded in-between the micro-fleece and wool is the secret to the coats performance. We insert a waterproof and windproof thermal membrane that deflects your body heat back towards your body. This allows for less material to accomplish the same amount of warmth performance. The membrane is also a wind barrier, keeping the wind chill out. This high-tech waterproof & windproof membrane will always keep you warm and dry in the wind, snow, rain, or any of the other elements.

DWR Coating –

DWR stands for durable water resistance and we apply this treatment to the outside of the coat. What this does, is help water bead off the coat instead of soaking through. Of course we have installed the state of the art high-tech membrane, but the DWR coating is the first line of defense to mother nature.

Fashion & Performance Design-

Our products have been designed in Portland, Oregon and Nelson BC. Our Portland designer Nina Bucci also owns a boutique and has a real pulse on fashion and trends. From here we can test new designs and use customer insights to create better products. She takes the latest trends and gently softens our look to create timeless pieces that will stay fashion forward for years to come. Scarlet is a very seasoned performance outerwear designer living in the mountains. She is a freelance designer that designs some of the largest outdoor brands outerwear. Her knowledge of performance and her interest in fashion work well with Nina’s influence.

Light and Compact –

Do you travel a lot or only need one coat because you live in a warmer place? How about wanting to stay warm and dry and not look like a tourist by wearing a sport bright camping shell, then this is the coat for you. This is a very small carry on suit case and the coat barely takes up any space.

We use the same technology as we use in all our OMO and Mia Melon jackets using our special “Weatherproof me” membrane that keeps the wind and water out but is breathable.
The waxed cotton jackets are also using a cozy micro fleece lining. The outside shell is our new creation. We are coating cotton with a special matted polyurethane coating that gives the jacket a similar look to expensive waxed cotton coats and jackets that use wax for the waterproof treatment. Our new creation is cost effective, lighter than wax and of course BEE friendly!

Our herringbone fabric is one of our most popular fabrics. Arriving in time to help us make our final push we are now offering the NEW Houston jacket and our famous Stella jacket. The herringbone fabric is 100 % cotton on the outside with the cozy micro-fleece in the inside. Armed with a membrane and a DWR treatment these two HOT styles will keep you styling in any kind of weather. These impressive jackets are well priced at ONLY $139 CAD apx $107 USD and only $99 CAD when added on to a wool coat pledge. They can also be used in any combo pack. Feed back has told us we needed another style going over XL, the Stella will go form XS-3X.

The Mia Melon Houston jacket is our NEWEST jacket. The Houston is designed with a soft cotton herringbone and innovative fabric technology that is both waterproof and windproof. This is an easy to wear jacket that gives you a street sense and chic look. A diagonal front zipper and secure lower zip welt pockets are lined with cozy fleece for comfort and warmth. The oversized hood will keep you protected from the elements when needed. This is a very stylish all year jacket.
